CMF Leadership Team attends General Registry Workshop

GEORGE TOWN, Grand Cayman — 30 May 2026

Members of the Cayman Motoring Federation Executive Team recently attended the General Registry mandatory interactive workshop on Effective Non-Profit Organisation Set-Up, Governance, and Compliance.

As the FIA-recognised National Sporting Authority for motorsport in the Cayman Islands and a registered non-profit organisation, it is essential that CMF continues to operate with strong governance, transparency, accountability, and proper compliance.

The workshop covered important areas including:

  • Governance roles and responsibilities
  • Internal controls and best practices
  • Cayman Business Portal compliance requirements
  • Annual returns and reporting timelines
  • Changes to controllers, officers, and constitutional documents
  • Requesting official certificates
  • NPO dissolution procedures
  • Building collaborative partnerships with banks and WORC

For a federation like CMF, staying up to date is not just about meeting legal requirements. It ensures we are properly structured, responsibly managed, and ready to deliver safe, well-governed programmes for our members, volunteers, competitors, schools, sponsors, and the wider community.

Good governance builds trust, and trust is essential as we continue to grow motorsport, STEM Racing, esports, road safety initiatives, and youth development opportunities across the Cayman Islands.
