CaymanFreePress does two things: it publishes announcements from Cayman Islands organisations free of charge, and it puts every Cayman news source on one page.

Press release distribution has been priced for multinationals for decades. A Cayman company announcing forty new jobs should not have to pay several hundred dollars to a foreign wire service to put that on the record. Here it costs nothing, it stays online permanently, and it carries a dated reference the company can quote to anyone who asks.

The second half is the wire: headlines from every Cayman publication, in one place, linking straight back to whoever wrote them. We hold headline, link and date only — never article text. It is there because it is genuinely useful, and because a wire service that carried only its own submissions would be a notice board rather than a news site.

We are the publisher of every release here, and the author of none of them. Each one names the organisation that filed it, says plainly that we did not write it, and every outbound link is no-follow. Those rules are what keep the wire worth citing — they are set out in full in the editorial guidelines.
