CaymanFreePress was created to make local news, announcements and business information easier to publish, discover and share.
We serve the Cayman Islands in two ways:
We publish announcements and press releases from Cayman organisations free of charge.
We bring headlines from Cayman’s news publications together in one convenient place through The Wire.
Free Press Release Publishing
Traditional press release distribution services are often priced for multinational companies. We believe Cayman businesses, nonprofit organisations, community groups and individuals should also have an accessible way to place important announcements on the public record.
A Cayman company announcing the creation of forty new jobs should not have to pay hundreds of dollars to a foreign wire service to share that news.
CaymanFreePress allows eligible local announcements to be published at no cost. Each published release:
Remains available as a permanent online record
Includes a clear publication date
Identifies the organisation or individual responsible for the content
Provides a reference that can be shared with customers, stakeholders, journalists and the wider community
The Cayman News Wire
The Wire brings headlines from Cayman news publications together on one page, allowing readers to see what is being reported across the Islands and follow each headline directly to its original publisher.
We display only the headline, publication date and link. We do not reproduce the article itself, and all links direct readers back to the news organisation that created the original content.
This service exists because it is genuinely useful. A platform containing only submitted press releases would be a noticeboard. By also providing access to the wider Cayman news landscape, CaymanFreePress offers readers a more complete and convenient view of what is happening across the community.
Our Editorial Independence
CaymanFreePress publishes submitted releases but does not write them.
Every release clearly identifies the organisation or individual that submitted and authorised it. We also make it clear when content has not been written or independently verified by CaymanFreePress. Outbound links contained in submitted releases are designated as no-follow links.
We reserve the right to approve, decline, correct or withdraw any submission. Our publishing standards and submission requirements are explained in our Editorial Guidelines.
The exception is the Cayman Business Brief, which is written and produced directly by CaymanFreePress.
Who Is Behind CaymanFreePress
CaymanFreePress was created and is supported by Jason Butcher as a community resource for Cayman businesses, nonprofit organisations and other local voices seeking a fair and accessible way to distribute important announcements and gain wider visibility.
Our purpose is simple: to help credible Cayman news and announcements reach the people who need to see them—without placing cost or unnecessary barriers in the way.

Accuracy, accountability and fairness matter to us.
Requests for corrections, complaints and rights of reply are reviewed by a person. If you believe something published on CaymanFreePress is inaccurate, misleading or requires clarification, please contact us at press@caymanfreepress.com.
Where appropriate, content will be corrected, updated or withdrawn.
