Cayman Airways has launched Cayman Airways Vacations, an online service bundling flights, hotels and attractions, joining what the Cayman Compass describes as a growing global push by airlines to capture more of what passengers spend on travel. Cayman News Service reports the carrier says the site is aimed at both inbound visitors and residents travelling abroad.
Police have issued a warning over impersonation scams. The Cayman Compass reports fraudsters are using phone calls and social media messages to gain access to personal accounts, then soliciting money from victims' contacts. Cayman Marl Road says multiple reports involve hijacked WhatsApp accounts.
On policy, the Cayman Compass reports work is under way to determine how the long-unresolved maritime boundaries with Jamaica and Cuba might be progressed under international law.
